The Process of Making Roasted Grams
Making Roasted grams is a simple and straightforward process. Here’s how you can make them at home:
- 1 cup of chickpeas or Bengal grams, rinsed and drained
- 1-2 tbsp of oil (olive, vegetable, or avocado oil)
- Salt to taste
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Rinse and drain the chickpeas or Bengal grams. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible.
- Place the chickpeas or Bengal grams on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with oil.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Stir occasionally for even roasting.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let cool completely.
Enjoy your roasted grams as a snack, sprinkle on salads or soups, or add to your favorite dishes for an extra crunch. You can also experiment with different seasonings and spices to customize the flavor.
